Sto Guard®, a spray-on building wrap, provides seamless protection against moisture intrusion and air leakage in your buiding's wall assemblies. It can be applied to sheathing, joints and rough openings under most sidings, including wood, brick, vinyl, EIFS and Portland cement stucco.
The Sto Guard® assembly consists of two major components:
1. Joint / Rough Opening Treatment with Sto Guard® Mesh and Sto Gold Fill®
Prevents air infiltration through joints and around rough openings.
2. Sheathing Treatment with either Sto Gold Coat® or Sto EmeraldCoat™
Prevents ingress of water into the building and protects moisture sensitive components such as wood or gypsum based sheathings.
Together these components create a seamless air barrier and moisture barrier that greatly improves resistance to air leakage and water infiltration when compared to sheet goods in wall assemblies.
Sto Guard® and MOLD
Sto Guard® has been proven to resist mold growth when tested in accordance with ASTM D 3273.
