X-Ray Protective Lead Glass For Radiation Shielding

Specialty Ray-Bar X-Ray/Radiation Protective Lead Glass is utilized when a clear view and radiation shielding is of absolute priority in diagnostic, therapy, isotopic or nuclear radiation sources - used for medical treatment, imaging, testing, inspection, experimentation or energy production. Ray-Bar 1/4" X-Ray Protective Lead Glass meets Federal Specification DD-G-451. Ray-Bar X-Ray Protective Lead Glass meets National Council of Radiation Protection (NCRP) Report No. 49 criteria and standards. All calculations for shielding requirements should be determined by a qualified health radiation physicist currently recognized by the state in which the project occurs. Ray-Bar X-Ray Protective Lead Glass meets Federal Specification DD-G-451. X-Ray Protective Lead Glass is also available in lead equivalencies of 2.4mm, 3.2mm and 3.7mm. Ray-Bar also provides lead glass blocks up to 4" thick for high energy isotope or gamma radiation shielding. Please contact us for special requirements and special designs.

Lead Acrylic/Clear Pb Lead Plastic

Technical Data Of Clear Pb Lead Plastic (Acrylic)
Lead acrylic is made from an acrylic copolymer resin into which lead is chemically introduced as an organolead salt compound. Lead acrylic contains 30% lead weight and has a constant density of 1.6 gm/cm. Lead acrylic has a Refractive Index of 1.54 Lead equivalencies, thickness' and densities of lead acrylic are summarized below.
